Through Mary’s decades-long relationships with Italian locals and a deep, personal connection to Italy’s art, history, and culture and Rekha’s expert knowledge of women’s wellness practices, we have created a collection of rare, intimate, and unexpected experiences that simply can’t be found in a guidebook — or recreated on your own.

Our home for the week is Lazise, an enchanting ancient town on the eastern shore of Lago di Garda, with roots stretching back to Roman times.
Behind its medieval walls, cobblestone streets wind past colorful houses, intimate piazzas, cafés, boutiques, and restaurants before spilling onto a beautiful lakeside promenade.
Its historic harbor, castle, and centuries of history give Lazise a sense of place that feels unmistakably Italian — charming and lively, yet intimate enough to quickly feel like home.

Lazise sits in the Veneto, just outside Verona and within reach of Venice, surrounded by the rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, and cypress trees of the Lake Garda wine country.
Nearby Bardolino is at the heart of its namesake wine region, making Lazise an ideal home base for exploring the art, wine, food, history, and culture of Northern Italy.

Each day has been thoughtfully curated by Mary & Rekha to savor the sweet moments together. Mornings begin with our signature yoga and meditation, setting the tone for the day ahead.
Our days will be filled with one-of-a-kind experiences made possible through our local connections, designed to nurture both body and soul — with plenty of space to wander, relax at the spa, linger over an aperitivo, or simply enjoy the charm of Lazise.
With her personal connection to Lazise, fluency in Italian, and PhD in Italian Renaissance Art History, Mary will take us beyond the typical tourist experience, bringing the art, history, and culture of the region to life and sharing an Italy she has known and loved for decades.
Rekha brings the wellness of Italy to life. As a physician specializing in Lifestyle Medicine and women’s health, she’ll help us explore the principles of the Mediterranean lifestyle — nourishing food, natural movement, connection, rest, pleasure, and the simple rituals that make living well part of everyday life.

CASA NOSTRA
For six nights, Palazzo della Scala will be our home in Lazise. This elegant four-star hotel, a short stroll from the historic city center, combines Italian charm with resort-style amenities, including a lush garden with three heated pools and hydromassage areas overlooking Lazise Castle and an expansive Spa della Scala with a saltwater whirlpool, panoramic Finnish sauna, bio-sauna, steam bath, experience showers, salt wall, and beautiful relaxation spaces.
It’s where we’ll gather for morning yoga, leisurely breakfasts and group meals, and return after our adventures for a swim, a spa, a sunset cocktail, or simply a little dolce far niente.

Generously sized at approximately 970 sq. ft., these spacious suites feature two private bedrooms, shared bath, a large separate living area, fully equipped kitchen, and private terrace with panoramic lake views. Designed for two retreat guests, each guest enjoys her own private bedroom while sharing the suite’s beautiful living and outdoor spaces.

Spacious and bright, these approximately 320–430 sq. ft. suites feature a king bed, separate living area, kitchenette, and private furnished balcony.

These expansive 900–1,200 sq. ft. suites feel more like private Italian residences than hotel rooms. Beautifully appointed with sophisticated, high-end interiors, generous living and dining spaces, two completely private bedrooms with shared bath and exceptional indoor-outdoor spaces, each suite offers its own distinctive luxury — from panoramic lake-view terraces and private gardens to in-suite saunas, Turkish baths, and private hydromassage pools.
Reserved for just two retreat guests, each woman enjoys her own private bedroom while sharing a bath and the suite’s spectacular living spaces and amenities — the ultimate way to experience la dolce vita.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
Getting to Lazise
Lazise is easily accessible from Verona, Venice, or Milan, giving you flexibility when booking your flights.
- Verona (VRN) — The closest and easiest option, approximately 25 minutes by private car or taxi directly to Palazzo della Scala.
- Venice (VCE) — Approximately 1½ hours by private car. You can also travel by train from Venice to Peschiera del Garda, followed by a short taxi ride to Lazise.
- Milan (MXP) — Approximately 2 hours by private car. By train, travel from Malpensa to Milano Centrale, then onward to Peschiera del Garda, followed by a short taxi ride to the hotel.
We’ll provide additional arrival and transfer guidance to make getting to our home on the lake as seamless as possible.
Spa
Make time for a little dolce far niente at the hotel’s expansive Spa della Scala, a serene wellness retreat featuring a heated saltwater whirlpool, panoramic Finnish sauna, bio-sauna, steam bath, experience showers, salt wall, ice cascade, and beautiful relaxation spaces. Guests can also indulge in a wide menu of massages, body treatments, and wellness rituals for an added dose of pampering between our adventures.
Spa treatments can be booked directly through the resort at an additional fee. Please wait to book until we send you a final itinerary.
Payments & Cancellations
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot (will be applied to your booking.) We offer the option to pay in 2 installments. More details upon booking. Please contact us if you require a payment plan.
Prices may increase if booking after January 2027.
Retreat price does NOT include: airfare, airport/ground transportation, spa treatments, optional add-on activities, alcoholic beverages other than wine at dinner, and gratuities.
No refunds will be offered for cancellations unless we are able to fill your spot.
